Yeltoon

Yeltoon rises to 2,790 meters in the Vardenis mountain range, on the left bank of the Martuni river. It sits about 8 km southeast of the village of Geghhovit, in Armenia's Gegharkunik region.

There isn't much more on record about this peak beyond its location and height — no marked trail data, no named routes, nothing to embellish. It's a coordinate on the map of the Vardenis range, one of many summits in that stretch of mountains near Martuni.

Yeltoon lies in Gegharkunik region, near the town of Martuni, roughly 72 km east-southeast of Yerevan as the crow flies. The peak sits about 8 km southeast of Geghhovit village.

At nearly 2,800 m, expect snow cover well into spring and the terrain to be most accessible in summer and early autumn.
