12 mountains and volcanic peaks in Armenia
Updated August 2026 · Chosen editorially. Rankings are never sold.
Aragats, Armenia's highest point at 4,090 meters, opens this list of peaks and rock formations across the country. Not every entry is a climb: the Symphony of Stones near Garni is a basalt column wall in the Azat gorge, while Tezhqar in Ararat region stands as a landmark beside Tigranashen village rather than a hiking destination. Aghvesasar, a 1,529-meter summit in Syunik near Kapan, shows how modest some entries can be.
